Disraeli Gears Begins a Year-Long Chart Busting Ascendency

Featuring classic songs, such as "Sunshine of your Love," and "Strange Brew," the amazing album by Cream first appeared on US Billboard charts for the year on January 6th, 1968.  

The first real "supergroup," Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce toured the United States in the Spring of 1968, playing songs from this record, including live versions that were later released on future albums.

One such show, at the Civic Auditorium in Sacramento, also featured the Grateful Dead.  What an amazing night March 11th, 1968 must have been.
