Explosions Damage American Businesses in Paris

Champs-Elysées

On the same night that massive anti-Vietnam protests took place in London, three U.S. businesses in Paris were vandalized with plastic explosives overnight, between 17th and 18th of March, 1968.

According the UPI wire service:

Explosions today rocked two American banks and a U.S. airline office. Police said the blasts—less than 24 hours after rioting in London protesting American Vietnam—did serious damage to the fronts of the buildings housing the local offices of the Chase Manhattan Bank, the Bank of America and Trans World Airlines. All three buildings are near the Paris opera house.
