Johnny Cash Live Recording "At Folsom Prison" Hits the Record Stores

Johnny Cash performed two shows at Folsom State Prison in California on January 13, 1968, including classic versions of "Folsom Prison Blues," "Cocaine Blues," "Flushed From the Bathroom of Your Heart," and "Dirty Old Egg-Suckin' Dog."

"Folsom Prison Blues" charted on the Billboard Hot 100 on May 25, 1968, but suffered a setback when Senator Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated on June 5, 1968. Radio stations ceased playing the single due to the macabre line: "I shot a man in Reno/Just to watch him die".
